According to The Hollywood Reporter, JJ. Abrams looks set to produce a new movie based on “Let the Great World Spin” – a period piece by Colum McCann.
“Spin”, published in June by Random House, is structured around Philippe Petit‘s real-life “artistic crime of the century”, in which he illegally walked a tightrope between the Twin Towers in 1974 — a feat Petit called, “le coup”. Spin explores the lives of a group of characters as they struggle in New York.
This seems very different from anything JJ. Abrams has done recently, so it’s a project definitely worth keeping tabs on.
